Miscount, do it again

This piece is a continuation of my attempt to understand my compulsion to count everything. I painted repeated number sequences across a sheet of plastic, layering them over and over to create patterns and textures. Through this repetition, the numbers became less about their individual meaning and more about the physical presence they created. I then warped the plastic with a heat gun, allowing the material to shift and distort, much like the way my thoughts often feel. The final form references a topographical map. In this way, the piece becomes a map of my mind, a physical representation of the internal terrain shaped by patterns of counting, repetition, and ritual.
